Nutcracker

Ok, so maybe I haven't posted in a while. It's really not for lack of things to say or show, but I've been so busy, what with Tim out of town during the weeks, homeschooling, etc and I'm really trying to take some time to spend with the kids during Christmas (even more time than I usually do) and do special things.

So in the spirit of enjoying the busy-ness around us, I took my girl (and some girly friends) and we went to a local production of the Nutcracker. Leading up to it I read the Nutcracker story (a book I still have from my childhood) and watch youtube clips of the ballet. In trying to describe what she'll be seeing I told Georg it's like a story without talking. To which she chimes in, "Like a book without words AND pictures?" Not exactly, and needless to say, I'm pretty sure she got it.

It will easily become our Christmas tradition me thinks. It was fun and she loved all the dancing, music and sugar plum outfits.

We even managed to get ourselves a little gussied up. See? I have heels. Anything can be fancy in heels, right?
