Someday is today

So you know you're finally getting old enough to admit that you eat terribly and actually do something about it. Well, I eat terribly. And today I did a little something about it.
I'm not making big changes, I'm not being revolutionary. Because, let's face it, I have the self control of a chicken with feed. I figure if I can start small maybe it will domino. I've done big changes and they don't stick. I've got kids with sandwiches I have to finish for them, a MacDaddy who wants whatever he wants and will most likely share, when he's not looking. And there should be room for coffee, wine and the occasional cake. Eh, hem.
I'm not looking to weigh myself everyday. I actually don't believe in scales (never have). I'm not figuring there will be any dramatic change, perhaps only in my psyche.
Well MacDaddy, shockingly, agreed to this little change with me. And so for 30 days (in which we reevaluate) we replace one meal (breakfast) with juice. No not apple juice or oj. But REAL juice. As in blending, juicing, juice. It involves real fruit, veggies, herbs squeezed to a pulp.

First day down and it was actually so darn tasty. MacDaddy wasn't so very sure it would be tasty, because really, it looked like barf, but thumbs up from both of us.
Tomorrow's a new day. Bottoms up!

Good luck on that - we did that too - I actually loved everything I made - and I used the pulp to make pulp quiche, pulp stew, pulp muffins, pulp pizza - that was too much for my family.
